Starkweather & Shepley, headquartered in Providence, RI, is among the top 75 insurance agencies in the United States. Mark is a native of Pittsfield, MA. He graduated from Bentley College in Waltham, MA, with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He remained in Boston for 40 years prior to moving to Southwest Florida.
Mark began his insurance carrier at Liberty Mutual in Boston, in sales and management positions for 20 years. He joined and was named executive vice president at Allied American Insurance Agency in 1998, which became Eastern Insurance Group following the acquisition by Eastern Bank, the largest mutual bank in the country. He managed sales and service of the commercial lines group and grew revenues from $3 million to more than $23 million over his 16 years of service.
Mark has been very active participating on various national and regional insurance company advisory boards throughout his career and served on the board of Advisors of the Greater Boston Food Bank. He and his wife, Sheri, raised their family in Sudbury, MA, and now reside full-time in Miromar Lakes.

Precious Gunter
BOARD MEMBERPrecious holds a B.S. in Human Resource Management from the University of South Carolina and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from North Carolina Central University School of Law where she served as a Senior Editor of the Law Review. After obtaining her law license, she was an Adjunct Ethics Instructor for Virginia College and worked as a Staff Attorney for Legal Aid of North Carolina for almost five years. She is currently the Director of Equity, Ethics, and Compliance and Title IX Coordinator for Florida Gulf Coast University. She is the designated Chief Compliance Officer for the University overseeing the University’s compliance and ethics program as well as adherence to state and federal discrimination laws based on protected categories including sex, race, age, disability, religion, etc. She also coordinates trainings to promote education and awareness throughout the university community and chairs the following three committees: Title IX Committee, Diversity and Inclusion Committee, and Compliance Liaison Committee.

In January 2017, Veronica received the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ (FICPA) “Horizon Award,” which recognizes the brightest young CPAs in the state of Florida. Pat Nevins has more than 37 years of experience related to general management consulting and engineering consulting. Prior to retiring, he served as principal for more than 18 years at the firm Towers Perrin (now Towers Watson), a global management consulting company. He joined Towers Perrin in 1984 and managed numerous million-dollar consulting projects to improve operations effectiveness, and developed major business processes to enhance overall performance for Fortune 500 companies in several industries.
Prior to joining Towers Perrin, he worked for 15 years in the consulting engineering and construction industry. He served as senior project engineer managing the overall electrical engineering design of several power plants.
Since retiring in 2006, he has spent several years assisting the non-profit food bank industry, including the Harry Chapin Food Bank, as a volunteer business consultant.
Pat has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a law degree from DePaul University. He is a Registered Professional Engineer and a retired member of the Illinois Bar.

In 1975, after graduating from the University of South Florida with a BA degree, I began my financial services career with the Equitable Life Assurance Society of America, in Fort Myers, Florida. In 1976, I joined A. G. Edwards as a Financial Advisor. In 1979, I became the second person in Lee County to receive the CFP designation. In 1989, I became a branch manager for A. G. Edwards. I managed offices in Fort Myers, Cape Coral and Bonita Springs. In 2006, I retired from management and in 2007, I created the Nolte Wealth Management Group of Wells Fargo Advisors (now Wells Fargo Clearing Services, LLC, Member SIPC). For over 40 years I have helped clients and their families preserve their wealth and grow their investments.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family which includes my wife Pam, two beautiful daughters, Jamie and Cassie and my three grandchildren, Steven, Sebastian and Elizabetta. I also enjoy boating, golfing, scuba diving and travel. I’ve been active in my community for many years. I’ve been active in my community for many years. I am a cabinet member of the United Way of Lee, Hendry and Charlotte counties. In addition, I serve on the Board of Directors of the Harry Chapin Food Bank and I am a former member of the Board of Directors of the Alvin Dubin Alzheimer’s Resource Center where I served for 17 years.
As the Treasurer for Harry Chapin Food Bank, I act in a completely separate roll from my position as a Financial Advisor at Wells Fargo Advisors.

Lois is well-known for her community service and advocacy.
